2 Bangladeshis shot dead by BSF on Benapole frontier


Two Bangladeshi nationals were shot to death and three others injured by members of Indian Border Security Force  (BSF) on Daulatpur border here early Saturday.The deceased were identified as Shanto, 25, son of Abdus Sattar, and Aku, 35, son of Azizul Haque of Putkhali village, both cattle traders by profession.Amzad Hossain, in-charge of Daulatpur BGB camp, said BSF members of Ghonarmath camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders while they were retuning to the country with cattle around 4:30 am, leaving five people injured.Of the injured, Shanto and Aku died on way to Navaron Hospital while
the rest others took treatment secretly.A letter has been sent protesting the matter, said BGB.A tense of situation was prevailing in the bordering area following the incident. -UNB, Benapole
