2 girls rescued in Satkhira while being trafficked to India

Police rescued two teenage girls from Kolaroa border point of the district while they were being trafficked to India on Tuesday.
The victims were identified as Suborna Khatun,16, daughter of Emanali Sheikh, a resident of Ujirpur village in Shalda upazila of Faridpur district, and Shirin Khatun,17, daughter of Selim Sardar, a resident of Kudipara village in Bakshiganj upazila of Jamalpur district.Munsi Mofazzal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kolaroa Police Station, said acting on secret information that a group of human traffickers brought the girls to traffic them to India through the border point, they launched a drive in the area at about 10:00 am and rescued them.However, the human traffickers fled the scene after sensing the presence of the police. A case was filed.  -UNB
