Three alleged members of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) have been arrested from Dhaka and on the suspicion of their being involved in bomb-making in West Bengal’s Burdwan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said they arrested the three alleged JMB activists from Dhaka on Sunday night.“They are members of JMB. We are suspecting that they have links with bomb-making discovered after the explosions in Burdwan.”
When the men were arrested they were allegedly in possession of several explosives, he said, but he refused to name them.

UNB reported: The identities of the arrested will be disclosed at a press briefing later.
Earlier on November 8, West Bengal police arrested main accused in the case, Sajid.
On November 11, members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) detained Sajid’s brother M Monayem from Farajikanda village of Bandar upazila in Narayanganj district.
Twelve days later, detectives arrested Sajid’s wife Fatema Begum,allegedly the women wing chief of JMB, and three of her other reported associates from the city.
On October 2, explosion at a Burdwan house killed two suspected militants — Shakil Ahmed and Sobhan Mandal — and left a person named Hasan Saheb injured.
