4.9-magnitude quake hits northern Myanmar

YANGON, April 9 – An earthquake of 4.9 magnitude struck Myanmar’s northern Mandalay region in the early hours of Monday, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology. -BSS
With its epicenter 9.6 km northeast of Singu, the quake occurred at 00:10 local time (1740 GMT Sunday) with a depth of 5 km.
No report of casualties and damage was immediately available.
