4 Magura truck torching victims die at Dhaka Medical College Hospital

Four people, who sustained burn injuries in separate petrol bomb attacks in Magura and Chandpur districts, died at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday.
Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital said three people, who suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on a sand-laden truck at Moghirdhal on Magura-Jessore road in Sadar upazila on Saturday night, died at the burn unit of the DMCH today.Shakil Mollah, 20, succumbed to his injuries about 11:30 am while Rowshan Ali Biswas,35, son of Abdus Salam Biswas of Maligram village in Sadar upazila of Magura district, who suffered 60 percent burns, died at about 2:30am.
Meanwhile, Matin Biswas, 25, son of Tokon Biswas of Matigram village in sadar upazila of Magura district, succumbed to his injuries around 4:40 pm.
Six other arson victims of Magura are undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Earlier on Saturday night, 10 people, including eight workers, suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on a sand-laden truck. The injured were whisked off to Magura Sadar Hospital where doctors referred nine of them to the burn unit of the DMCH.
Police arrested four people from separate places in Magura on Sunday for their suspected involvement in the arson attack.
Besides, Khandaker Shariful Islam, 35, son of late Shahabuddin of Jhikargaccha upazila of Jessore district, who sustained burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack at Chandra in Chandpur sadar upazila on Wednesday died at the DMCH this afternoon.
Sources at DMCH said Shariful succumbed to his injuries around 3:30 pm. – UNB
