4 RU teachers obtain UGC award

Dhaka – Four teachers of Rajshahi University (RU) have been awarded from the University rants Commission (UGC) for their outstanding activities in the research area.Prof. Moshiur Rahman, administrator of RU public relations office signed a press release confirmed the matter.
UGC award in 2014, awarded RU teachers are Dr. Ashit Roy of Music Departmentmn for his research work on Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali, Prof. Pranab Kumar Pandey, Public Administration Department for ‘Women’s Political Participation in Bangladesh: Role of Women’s Organisations.
Dr. Mobaraka Siddika of Folklore Department her research book of “Gender in Bengali Folklore: Traditional and Patriarchal” and Dr. Ahmed Humayun Kabir at Botany department who was awarded for his research article title on “Mechanisms associated with differential tolerance to Fe deficiency in okra” in 2015.
RU vice-chancellor Prof. Muhammad Mizan Uddin and Pro-VC Prof. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan Jahan congratulated them for their success and contribution to the education and research. – RU Coprrespondent
