6 gold bars recovered from man’s rectum at Dhaka airport


Dhaka -Customs intelligence officials arrested a man and recovered six gold bars, each weighing 100 grams, after their release from his rectum at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city early Tuesday. The arrestee was identified as Nur Alam, son of Jakir Khan.Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Dr Moinul Khan said customs officials challenged Nur Alam when he was leaving the conveyor belt no 6 area at 3:00am.Interrogated, Nur Alam admitted that he was carrying the six gold bars kept hidden inside his rectum through a special process for which he had to pay Tk30,000. The gold bars were released from his bowl as he was forced to defecate through drinking of 3/4 glasses of water.Besides, a gold chain weighing 100 grams and 1,000 millilitre sex  stimulating jell were recovered after searching his bag. Nur Alam arrived at the airport from Malaysia by a flight ‘OD162’ of Malinda Airlines at about 12:30 am.The market value of the gold is Tk 30 lakh. (UNB)
