Attorney General Mahbubey Alam today lauded Bangladesh’s achievement in information and communication technology (ICT) sector.
Alam, , who returned home last night after attending 19th conference of the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) in the US, said now the world community too is praising Bangladesh’s role in this sector, especially in conducting cases in tackling money laundering.
“Bangladesh’s development in two indexes of APG inter-country legal assistance and intelligence surveillance regarding money laundering has also satisfied all,” the attorney general said.
The chief law officer of the state came up with the observations while exchanging views with the newsmen regarding his recent visit to the US.
“After the order of the Filipino court, all the legal obstacles in bringing back the stolen reserve of Bangladesh from that country, have been cleared. I hope we also will be able to bring back the part of that reserve, which have already been spent,” he added, reports BSS.
