AL criticising BNP’s Vision-2030 out of nervousness: Khasru

Dhaka – BNP senior leader Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury on Friday said Awami League leaders are criticising BNP’s ‘Vision-2030’ out of their nervousness. UNB news agency reported
“As a major democratic political party, we may have vision and plans. But they (AL) are calling it (Vision-2030) trickery. In fact, they’ve become nervous following the presentation of our Vision-2030,” he said.
Khasru, a BNP standing committee member, came up with the remarks while speaking at a discussion arranged by Bangladesh Jatiya Dal at the Jatiya Press Club.
He urged the ruling party leaders to go through the Vision-2030 before making any comment on it. “BNP knows it very well how to run the country and develop it using the creativity of the country’s people in a democratic environment.”
Khasru alleged that Awami League wants to run the country obliterating democracy, the rule of law and people’s all rights.
Claiming that democracy is now absent in the country, he said, “A country can’t run without democracy. It’s disgraceful for us as a nation as we’ve still struggling for democracy even after 46 years of the country’s independence.”
He called upon the country’s people to get united to restore democracy, freedom of expression and the rule of law in the country.
