Dhaka – A last minute goal by Gunjant Singh enabled favourite and former champions India to manage a 1-1 draw against defending champions South Korea in their first super-4 match of the Hero 10th Men’s Asia Cup Hockey at the floodlit Maulana Bhashani National Stadium on Wednesday evening. This is the first draw for India after winning all three group matches following a 5-1 win against Japan, 7-0 against Bangladesh and 3-1 against Pakistan while South Korea also made the first draw in the ongoing meet after beating Oman 7-2, China 4-1 and 1-2 goal defeat against Malaysia in group affairs. After barren result in the first two quarters, Jungjun Lee scored for South Korea in the 41st minute by a reverse flick off a Kim Yongjin pass (1-0).When the match was almost heading for Korean victory, Gunjant Singh came to rescue India scoring the match equaliser just few seconds before the final whistle by cool push from a goalmouth melee (1-1).After the first round super-4 matches, Malaysia dominated the points table securing full three points.
