Atomexpo begins in Moscow from Monday

The 7th International Forum-Atomexpo 2015, a major exhibition and business platform for meetings and negotiations between the worldwide leaders in the field of nuclear industry will be held in Moscow from June 1–3, 2015. Aomexpo-2015 is being organised by the Russia’s state nuclear corporation- Rosatom. More than 1000 participants have registered from 40 countries including Bangladesh. The main event of the Forum will be the plenary session dedicated to the topic ‘Nuclear power engineering is the impulse of the social and economic development’. The participants of ATOMEXPO 2015 will discuss the advantages of nuclear power engineering, its influence on social and economic development of the country. Agneta Rizing, the Director General of the World Nuclear Association (WNA) will moderate the session. It is expected to be participated by Sergey Kirienko, CEO of ROSATOM, Filipp Knokhe, Executive Director of Areva; Tim Yeo, Chairman of the Energy and Climate Change Committee at the lower Chamber of the Great Britain Parliament; Khaled Toukan, the chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission; Vu Huy Hoang, the Vietnamese Minister of industry and trade; Tina Joemat Pettersson, South African Minister for Energy; Taner Yildiz, Turkish Minister for energy and natural resources; Takuya Hattori, President of Japan Atomic Industrial Forum; William Magwood, Director General of Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and development. A special discussion on “Atomic energy in BRICS countries” will also be held. Rosatom is expected to present its proposals on development of the national energy programs of the countries of Latin America, Asia-Pacific Region, Africa, Central and East Europe, with which Russia is cooperating in the field nuclear power industry. Several round-table meetings are also planned during Atomexpo on the topics like: Role of NFC (nuclear fuel cycle) at the current stage of nuclear power industry development, Economic effectiveness, security safeguards at implementation of referential decisions at the final stage of lifecycle of the nuclear energy objects, Global nuclear engineering. Opportunities for global and local partnerships, Power engineering industry, cooperation at the worldwide market, Integrated solution on personnel training and nuclear infrastructure development for national nuclear programs, NPP operation and maintenance – up-to-date approach, New products of nuclear engineering industry: prospective trends and projects; Funding of Rosatom projects, optimal format and requirements. A special exhibition will be held during the Atomexpo. More than 100 representatives of Russian and foreign companies will participate in it.
