BNP senior leader Nazrul Islam Khan on Tuesday warned that they will put up a strong resistance together with people against attacks on their candidates and activists across the country.
Speaking at a press conference after a joint meeting of BNP and the Jatiya Oikyafront leaders at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office, he alleged that Awami League activists attacked their party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam’s motorcade in Thakurgaon with police protection.
“We strongly condemn such attack and repression by ruling party men with the help of police. Their attitude doesn’t scare us. People put up a resistance after the attack on our secretary general’s motorcade, and they we’ll do the same across the country,” Nazrul warned.
