Bangladeshi killed by BSF on Rowmari border

Dhaka – A Bangladeshi national was gunned down by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Rowmari border point in Roumari upazila of Kurigram district early Tuesday, UNB news agency reported.The deceased identified as Nurul Amin, 32, son of Moksed Ali Munshi, a resident of Khetar Char village of the upazila, was a cattle trader.
Abdul Aziz, commander of Datbhanga border outpost, and Mizanur Rahman, 3 no ward councillor of Datbhanga union, said a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders numbering 10-15 was trying to enter the Indian territory through the border pillar no 1054 in order to bring cattle early in the morning.
Sensing their attempt, a patrol team of the Indian border force opened fire on the cattle traders, leaving Nurul dead on the spot.
Lt Colonel Mohammad Rafiqul Hasan of BGB-35 battalion of Jamalpur said they had heard of the BGB firing.
