BAU exams cancel due to BCL anniversary

Mymensingh, 04 Jan – The final and class test examinations of different levels cancelled at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh on Thursday due to unavoidable reasons. But it is alleged that administration cancelled all levels of examination pressurizing by Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL) for observing 70th anniversary.
Sources said, BAU adviser Prof Dr S D Chowdhury ordered dean council convener Prof Abdul Quddus to cancel exam schedule. Later, dean council convener told six faculty deans to stop rescheduled exam. For this reason, total 9 theories and practical exam was not held on the university following an urgent notice signed by exam controller.
On the other hand, teachers and different political organizations condemn on this matter.
Without revealing name a student said that, yesterday I prepared whole night to appear at the exam but I heard exam would not be held today when I came to exam hall.
In a press release, BAU Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) said that, we condemn and protest the biasness of the university administration and this type of decision help other organisations to make illegal demand.
BAU Vice-Chancellor said that, I authorized to stop exam by adviser requesting to avoid chaotic situation. – BAU Correspondent
