DHAKA – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to move cricket governing body International Cricket Council (ICC) with a ‘review’ appeal to reconsider pacer Taskin Ahmed’s suspension from bowling in the international cricket. “We are thinking about sending a review notice to the ICC. The matter is under process,” a daily news paper quoted Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive officer Nizamuddin Ahmed as saying.
Pacer Taskin and left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny were suspended from bowling in international cricket on Saturday after being reported by match officials following Bangladesh’s qualifying match against the Netherlands in Dharamsala on March 9.Earlier on Sunday, BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon said he had discussed to ICC chairman Shashank Manohar and CEO Dave Richardson regarding the issue, after which the ICC, according to Papon, called its lawyers to discuss the observations on Taskin’s report put forth by the BCB.(BSS)
