Dhaka – Bangladesh U-16 National Women’s Football Team, now touring China as part of their preparations for the eight-team final round of the AFC U-16 Championship, earned a brilliant 3-0 goals victory over Chinese Shaanxi Province U-14 team in the 4th match on Tuesday.Touring Bangladesh made a frustrating start in the tour losing to Chinese U-14 team by 0-1 goal. However, they beat Shaanxi U-15 team by 4-1 goals in the 2nd match and played to goalless draw with CFA U-14 team in the 3rd match.
In the day’s match, Bangladesh team earned a deserving victory at the Xian Olympic Sports Village Football ground after dominating most of the proceeding with 65 percent possession of the ball and took an early lead.In the 9th minute, Tohura Khatun made a brilliant through pass to Anuching, who did not finish properly. Later, Razia took the chance again as the ball bounced back to her from opponent and fired the net (1-0).Bangladesh scored the 2nd goal in the 26th minute as striker Anuching found the net again by a low shot after beating opposition custodian and defenders, off a long pass from medio Ankhi (2-0).In the 76th minute, Bangladesh’s substitute goalkeeper Rumky cleared a ball and sent it to Ratna, who gave a lofted pass to Shopna. Shopna was quick to control the ball around the goalkeeper and scored the 3rd goal sending ball to empty net (3-0).The red and greens had another opportunity to score in the 30th minute, but forward Anuching sent the ball wide with frustration of Bangladesh tent.The Shaanxi province team was a tough opponent in the game that was played in three 30-minute phases. The only time Bangladesh seemed to be in trouble was in the 20th minute when two Chinese forwards rushed on Bangladesh goalkeeper Ruksana, but her quick reflexes helped the visitors keep a clean sheet.Bangladesh will play their 5th and last match against Chinese U-14 team on Wednesday at 2:30 pm (Bangladesh Time).UNB news agency
