From now on, Bengali movies will be screened on a regular basis in three movie theaters in England. This opportunity for Bengali filmmakers to screen their films will begin from September 3, 2017.

Initiated by Bengali Film Club UK, Bengali films will be screened in three cities of England. The club started their journey from February this year and within six month of their journey they are bringing this opportunity for expatriate Bengalese in England to watch Dhallywood films every week.

One of the founders of this club is Swadhin Khoshru, a popular actor in Dhallywood. He gained his fame through acting in dramas and films by Humayun Ahmed. This actor is living in England with his family and he is contributing to the Bangladeshi film industry from there.

He said, “Our country is currently producing good films. Even Tollywood industry is producing good films as well. We want to give opportunity to the expatriate Bengalese to watch these movies, that’s why we took the initiative.

From now on we will release films every week here.” On September 3-4 and 10-11, a film based on the life of Baul Samrat Shah Abdul Karim will be released in three cities of England. Titled Ronger Duniya, the film is created by young filmmaker Moqtadir Ibn Salam.

The three stages of Baul Samrat’s life will be seen in this movie. Though the movie received censor certificate recently, it will be screened for the first time abroad. Swadhin Khosru said about the film, “The movie will be released in theater halls in London, Birmingham and Luton.”
