BNP cares little about conspiracy, says Fakhrul

Dhaka-BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said no plot against their party will work as it will go ahead together with people braving all obstacles following its founder’s ideology.“There’s a plot to remove our chairperson Khaleda Zia from politics and eliminate BNP by alienating the party leaders and activists from the party through implicating them in false cases,” he said.
Talking to reporters after placing wreaths at Zia’s grave, he also said, “No conspiracy against BNP will be successful as BNP is used to work for people overcoming adverse situations. BNP had struggled in the past for establishing people’s rights and turned victorious.”
Earlier, Khaleda Zia along with party leaders and activists, including Fakhrul, placed the wreaths at Zia’s grave at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital around 11:30am and offered fateha there, marking his 35th death anniversary.
Replying to a question, Fakhrul said BNP has not backed off from Zia’s principles and ideals. “We’re doing politics following his ideology, and we’ll go ahead with it braving all barriers.”
He said they have taken a vow on this day to restore democracy in the country imbued with Ziaur Rahman’s ideology.
