Bnp wants credible report of probe on Pintu’s death

BNP expects that the enquiry committee formed earlier to investigate into the death of party former lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu would place proper information to the nation.
BNP international affairs secretary Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon said this while talking to reporters after attending a milad and doa mahfil organized by Chhatra Dal seeking salvation of the departed soul of the former JCD president. He alleged that the government is hatching various conspiracies to eliminate the opposition.
The BNP leader mentioned that ficticious charges were brought against Khaleda Zia, who was premier for three terms, BNP leaders including party acting secretary general have been falling sick and Pintu returned from prision as a deadbody.
“Indeed, the country has turned into a vally of death and enforced disappearance,” he said adding, “Pintu was sentenced to cover up the real culprits involved in the April 25-26 BDR carnage.”
Ripon called upon the JCD leaders and activists to turn around and work together for the sake of nation.
Abdul Latif Jony, Asadul Karim Shahin, Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Anwar Hossain and Mostafizur Rahman Iran, among others, also attended the function. – Staff Reporter
