Branches of huge trees cutting at the Barisal Government Brojo Mohun College campus since last two days.
After visiting the campus it was found that branches of more thanfifty Mehgani, Chambal and other types of tree cut so crucially that
survival of those trees would become difficult in future. Prof. Fazlul Huq, principal of the college, said college authourity
ordered to cut the branches of the trees for making free flows of air and light in the campus and giving more strength for the trees under a
regular dressing programme.More than 250 saplings of different types of flowers would also be
planted instead of high-rise big tree for beautifications of the more than 114 years old campus, the principal added.
Raju Ahsan, on of the student of the college, said that  the branches of the trees cut down so crucially that those trees now looking
bald-headed and may die.Every body now a day knows that trees supply oxygen and planting and
saving trees more beautiful and important than beatifications of the campus by planting flower-saplings, told Nazma Akhtar, another student.
One of the students denying not disclosing his name alleged that branches of the trees cut down preplanned to loot the whole trees
after deaths of those in near future by the vested corner patronized by the corrupted college authority. Barisal  Correspondent
