Also, they have learned the basics of climate change as well as the way to respond to the climate change issues in the present status of Bangladesh.
As a part of international facilitator, Nor Lastrina Hamid from Singapore and Binod Parajuli from Nepal have discussed on the youth activism to confront climate change consequences through skype session.
The participants also learned about how to deal with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiation process through a software-based Conference of Parties (COP) negotiation simulation.
According to General Secretary of YESDS, Zuhair Ahmed Kowshik, “We tried to inform them about the COP negotiation process through role-playing simulation which will contribute to augment their skill regarding climate negotiation” “Now, we can say that our participants would be able to deal with climate change issues. Hopefully, they would be able to play a critical role raising climate change awareness in the society” said Zulker Naeen, a South Asia Fellow at Climate Tracker, also facilitated a few sessions of this training programme. – Press release
