Assistant Professor Dr Belal Uddin of Pediatrics Department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital informed that all three Pediatrics wards of the hospital are occupied by patients attacked with cold related diseases. Many patients took shelter on the floor of those wards. He said a huge number of children, attacked with viral fever, ARTI (Acute Respiratory Tract Infection), Bronchitis, Pneumonia and Diarrhoea, are being admitted to the hospital. He also said malnourished and premature babies are particularly vulnerable to the cold related diseases. Meanwhile, many elderly patients, attacked with Asthma, Bronchitis, Respiratory Infection, and cold allergies, are also being admitted to RMCH, Upazila health clinics and different private clinics in the district.
