Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet train services resume after 3 hours

Train communications of Dhaka with Chittagong and Sylhet were restored on Monday morning after three and half hours disruption following the derailment of a train at Nalchhata in Kaliganj upazila.Railway officials said two bogies of the Chittagong-bound freight train from Dhaka veered off the tracks at Nalchhata area near Arikhola station around 6:00 am, halting the train movement of the Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Sylhet routes.Several trains got stranded on both routes following the accident, causing sufferings to the passengers.A salvage train from Dhaka went to the spot and removed derailed bogies.Later, the train communication on the two routes resumed around 9:30 am, said officials.UNB, Gazipur
