Pioneering Dhallywood science fiction film Porobashinee is all set to be released on May 5. The anticipated film, which has been in the works for the last five years, will have a global release, including a few screens in USA, Canada and UAE. Sophie Aubert, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of France, Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director of Channel i, and AKM Zamal Uddin, Managing director of Reggae Entertainment, were present at the conference, along with some of the cast members of the film.
According to writer and film producer Faridur Reza Sagar, “Swapan always puts the best effort into his works, which is why it sometimes takes a longer time span. I believe the audience will see something new in the film, and I wish the maker the very best in all his efforts.”
While thanking everyone for their collaboration with Porobashinee, director Swapan Ahmed said, “This fim is the result of a five year long struggle, which is why I would like to request everyone to come to the theatres and enjoy what we created.”
Produced by Reggae Entertainment, the shooting of Porobashinee took place in more than 12 countries, including France and Italy, and was overseen by an international crew. The post-production of the film involved 3-D conversion and the application of visual effects.
Other than Emon in the lead character, the film features Rith Majumdar, June Malia, Urvashi Rautela, Sohel Khan, Apsara Aali and Chashi Alam.
