Sewing machines being distributed bo the birthday of Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib at Kalapara.



Patuakhali: On the occasion of the 92nd birth anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib, consort of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a discussion meeting and prayers were held. 

The event was organized by the upazila administration and the upazila women's department at the upazila parishad hall on Monday at 11 am. Meanwhile, sewing machines were distributed among 9 helpless women marking on the birthday.

Upazila Parishad Chairman SM Rakibul Ahsan was present as the chief guest in the program presided over by UNO Abu Hasnat Mohammad Shahidul Haque. Upazila Awami League Secretary Abdul Motaleb Talukdar, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Shafiqul Islam Babul, Women Vice Chairman Shahina Parveen Seema, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Taslima Begum, Upazila Ac land Abubakkar Siddiqui, Kalapara Police Station OC (Investigation) Asadur Rahman and others were present as special guests.

On the same day, discussion meeting, doa mahfil was held and sewing machines were distributed in Galachipa of Patuakhali by upazila administration and women affairs department. A meeting was held on Monday at 10 am in the upazila parishad auditorium under the chairmanship of upazila executive officer Ashish Kumar. Women Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Wana Marzia Neetu, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Galachipa Police Station MR Shawkat Anwar Islam and others were present at the meeting. - Gofran Biswas
