Eid journeys to be comfortable this time: Quader


Munshiganj: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday said all-out preparations have been taken to make the journeys of home-bound people comfortable.
“A total of 1,000 Rover scouts will work at cattle markets and traffic jam-prone points across the country. Already, the appointment of the scouts has been completed, and they’ll perform their duties in three shifts for four days,” said Quader. UNB News Agency Reported.
The minister came up with the information while talking to reporters as he visited the activities of BRTA mobile court on Dhaka-Mawa highway at Mawa Chowrasta on Sunday.
Eighty BRTC buses have been kept aside for special service on highways for the smooth transportation of homebound people during the eid, he said.
BRTA executive magistrate Muhammad Abdus Salam and motor vehicle inspector Shakhawat Hossain were present.
