Ensure quick dispensation of justice: Law Minister

Dhaka: Law Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday urged judges to promptly dispose of cases and make sure the justice seekers are not harassed in any way.
“It’s very challenging to keep public trust and faith in the court in a country of 16 crore people. But the judges must remain always ready to face the challenge… there should have a special attention of the judges so that justice seekers are not subjected to any type of harassment,” he said. UNB News Agency Reported.
The minister came up with the remarks while inaugurating a training programme for joint district judges and officials of the judiciary at the Judicial Administration Training Institute in the city.
Mentioning that justice is the most desired issue of people, he said it is even impossible to imagine a civilised, disciplined and developed society without justice. “Law and order, public security and people’s basic rights are inseparably linked to justice.”
Anisul said justice helps a country accelerate its development and brighten its image outside the country. “It’s not possible to ensure the country’s real development without justice and the rule of law.”
He urged the judges to contribute to the country’s development by ensuring justice.
There is no alternative to training for enhancing professional skills, the minister said, calling upon the judges to make the judiciary more dynamic and effective by receiving necessary trainings.
