‘Fake budget from fake government’ – Dr. Moyeen Khan


BNP standing committee member Dr Abdul MOyeen Khan yesterday termed the proposed budget for 2015-16 as ‘fake outlay of fake government’.
He questioned the locus standi of the of the government that placed the budget saying that whether they represent the people and whether they have the right to place it.“The fake budget of the fake government did not reflect the neglected rural poor,” he said.
Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddah Projonma Dal organised the meeting at the Jatiya Press Club to mark the 34th death anniversary of late President Ziaur Rahman.
Moyeen Khan said no development can be sustainable without good governance, ensuring human rights and freedom of expression.
Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury claimed both Awami League and Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina are suffering from frustration since people are not with them.
“Their body languages and behavior manifest them,” he said. Shama Obaid, president of the organization, presided over the meeting.
Mwanwhile, BNP spokesperson and international affairs secretary Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon yesterday termed the proposed budget imaginary one.
“The proposed budget will not change the lot of people since there is no clear directive in it,” he said while addressing a press conference at party headquarters at Naya Paltan in the city.
The BNP leader said there is no alternative to create democratic atmosphere in the country to implement the budget.
“A democratic environment only can help widen the way for local and foreign investment in the country,” he said.
Criticising the finance minister for his remarks that the politics of Khaleda was over, he said this type of statements can only befitting for ‘rubbish’, ‘bogus’, ‘infantile’ like person.
