Dhaka  – Bangladesh’s pace bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman opened his County Cricket display with an impressive performance of 4 for 23 that helped the Sussex Sharks secure a 24 runs victory over Essex Eagles in the 18-team NatWest T20 Blast under floodlight at Chelmsford on July 21.20-year old left-arm pacer Mustafizur opened his wicket haul account nin his 8th delivery dismissing Essex skipper Ravi Bopara (32 off 26b), forcing him to give catch opportunity to Sussex skipper Luke Wright,UNB News Agency Reported.
Then the popularly known cutter-master bowled out James Foster and Callum Taylor respectively in the 3rd and 6th delivery of his 3rd over.For the 4th one, the Satkhira boy lured Ryant ten Doeschate (26 off 23b) in the 2nd ball of his 4th overs crafting a catch break for Tymal Mills.To start his maiden stint campaign in the County Cricket, Mustafizur conceded economic 23 runs in his four-over spell and was adjudged man of the match.With a catch, Mustafizur helped Tymal Mills to dismiss Essex opening batsman Nick Browne at 11 for 1 in 1.3 overs.Earlier, Mustafizur conceded four runs in his first over, but was wicket-less.Sent in to bat first, Sussex collected a formidable 200 for 6 in 20 overs spurred by Chrish Jordan’s unbeaten 45 off 21 balls that included one boundary and five sixes.Philip Salt (33 off 19) and Luke Wright (32 0ff 24b) were the other notable scorers for the side.Ravi Bopara bagged two wickets while Dan Lawrence, Matthew Quinn and Graham Napier took one wicket each for Essex.Chasing 201 runs, Essex finished at 176 for 8 in 20 overs with opener Dan Lawrence top-scoring 36 off 26 balls, including two boundaries and two sixes.Apart from Mustafizur’s four-for, Will Beer, Tymal Mills and Jofra Archer took one wicket each for Sussex.With the day’s victory, Sussex collected 12 points from 12 matches having five wins, five losses and two no results in the 9-team South Group of league.Mustafizur is the third Bangladeshi, after all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal making the country proud by taking part in this tournament.
