Four-country motor rally leaves Bangladesh

Dhaka – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (BBIN) 4-country Friendship Motor Rally under the Motor Vehicle Agreement, which had started from Bhubaneswar in Orissa of India on November 15, left Bangladesh via Benapole border on Tuesday night after flagging off in Sangsad Bhaban area of the capital Dhaka.The rally, which had entered Bangladesh through Biluniya border point of Feni from Agartala of India on November 29, is heading to Kolkata.
The rally is scheduled to end after a seminar in Kolkata on on Wednesday.
Joint Commissioner of Benapole Port Customs Mustafizur Rahman bid farewell to the rally.
The rally, organised by Kalinga Motors of India, is covering 4,223 kilometres in the whole journey.
A six-member team of Bangladesh, led by deputy secretary of Home Ministry Nirodh Chandra Mal, took part in the rally.- UNB
