Greenwatch report

Former Jamaat chief Ghulam Azam’s counsel on Thursday completed his submission on behalf of his client, while Moulana Delwar Hossain Saidee’s lawyer advocate Mizamul Islam started his submission on behalf of Saidee at 12 noon.

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) headed by its Chairman Justice ATM Fazle Kabir begun the day,s function at 10.30 am and concluded after 4 pm. Meanwhile, Barrister Saidee’s counsel begun his

submission at 12 noon on behalf of his client and ended the day’s submission at 4 pm. He will resume his submission on Sunday morning.

Moulana Saidee was produced before tribunal during the hearing. But for Jamaat chief Ghulam Azam was not brought to the tribunal. The 90-year old former Jamaat leader fainted for a while in the tribunal

on Wednesday.

Saidee’s lawyer Mizanul Islam has told the tribunal that if defence has not been supplied with concerned documents, there was no justice done in the trial process.

He has further told the tribunal that Justice Nizamul Haque was the chairman of tribunal, who violated his oath. We do not how far he has violated his oath. However, so far we know, violating the oath he has

done serious offence, and it has no precedence anywhere.

The attorney general Mahbube Alam present on the occasion told the tribunal that as Mizamul Islam is a senior trial lawyer while placing his submission he should be more specific. However, the defence counsel did not agree with him.
