Goti Theatre’s latest production “Roktoanchon” will open at the Rangamati Indigenous Community Cultural Center on March 30. The play is written by Ashik Sumon, who is also directing it.
The theatre company’s president Moni Pahari said in a statement that they have made all the necessary arrangements and are currently busy with last moment rehearsals and promotion.
“We have always tried to create something different from the clichés and focused on unique settings of the plays. This time we are taking our production to a completely new community,” she added.
She is also hoping that their newest production will be well received by the audience.
The play’s music was designed by Biplab Sarkar, Md. Liton, Hasan Basri Biraj and Ripon Hossain. Ashik Sumon and Moni Pahari did the stage and costume design. Tahsin Rahman did the lights and overall technical support was provided by Abdullah Al Mamun.
Goti Theatre, founded in 2009, has produced a number of successful productions including such street plays as “Mamar Agomon,” “Bajikor,” “Kodakar” and the stage productions “Shikari” and “Jibon.”
