Dhaka, March 15 – The Islamic Foundation has recruited 957 Alia nesab teachers from madrasa background out of 1,010 posts for its Darul Arqam (Ebtedayi) standard madrasas. The appointment was given at a time on Thursday. The newly appointed teachers have been asked to collect their appointment letters from the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram Mosque office on March 19 this year and join the office, according to a notice of the foundation.
All of the new teachers were recruited for the job following list of qualified candidates prepared after checking the test papers, Project Director of Mosque-Based Primary and Mass-Education Project Zubayer Ahmed told this correspondent.
He said initially 957 teachers against 1,010 posts were recruited. The rests of 53 teachers of Alia nesab will be recruited after completion of necessary verification of the qualified candidates.
The authority has been working to appoint more 1,010 teachers from general education background for teaching the madrasa students general subjects. Their tests papers are also being examined by the experts, he added.
Zubayer Ahmed said the authority had taken the recruitment test in November last year to recruit a total of 3,030 teachers in three categories under its Darul Arqam programme. More than five lakh jobseekers participated the test.
The tests papers were examined by the experts. As a result, they need some times to complete the checking. But, they ensure transparency in the entire process, he added.
The Project Director said that the project was taken following the interest of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she wants to provide the madrasa students at the main stream government job. All of the selected candidates are from madrasa back-ground.
He also thanked Islamic Foundation Director General Shamim Mohammad Afzal for his support to recruit the teachers in a fairer way.
Earlier, the authority recruited more 1,010 madrasa back-ground students as qawmi nesab teacher. – Staff Reporter
