Hacked college girl Khadiza stable at intensive care

Dhaka – The condition of Sylhet Government Women’s College student Khadiza has remained stable at the intensive care unit of the Squire Hospital in the city, according to hospital sources. However, she is not yet out of the woods despite hopes by doctors treating her that she may survive if she could pass through a next few days in the same condition.
Doctors’ hopes had been brightening for survival of Khadiza following movement of her eyes and arms on Saturday after five days after she was hacked by a stalker and brought to the Square Hospital in a critical condition.
When contacted a doctor preferring to anonymity said there is nothing to offer new information about Khadiza’s condition at this moment.
“Her (Khadiza) condition is stable. If she could pass another five to seven days, we will be happy to see her improving gradually,” he said.
Abdul Kuddus, Khadiza’s uncle, told reporters that her (Khadiza) condition has not changed further since Saturday.
Rumana, an official at the information desk of the hospital also said that Khadiza’s condition has not changed further and they have nothing new to share to the media.
She said the doctors would brief journalists about the condition of Khadiza after three weeks. However, we will be able to inform media, if there is any update in the meantime, she added.
