On April 27, 2015, the High Court asked the government to submit the report on the procurement following a writ petition.

The HC on July 29, 2009 passed an order asking the government to procure different instruments for operating rescue operations after any earthquake.
But the government did not procure all the necessary equipment according to the HC order.
On May 15, the HC asked them to appear before the court on May 29 as they could not implement the court order.
