The High Court bench of Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury and Justice Md Ashraful Kamal passed orders to issue the rule.
Bangladesh Manobadhikar Bastobayon Sangstha and Ahona Nasrin, a writer from Mymensingh, filed the writ petition challenging the legality of running the educational institutions without having approval from the government.
The petitioners’ lawyer Advocate Faridul Islam told the correspondents that the High Court issued the rule on the ground that running the unauthorized educational institutions is against the education policy of the government.
According to the present education policy, none can run any such institution without government approval.
It has been learned that about 1,000 education institutions are being run without government approval across the country, the concerned lawyer said. – Special Correspondent
