Huge Indian currency recovered at Shahjalal airport

Dhaka – Members of Airport Armed Police (AAP) arrested a passenger along with Indian currency worth 1.04 crore from Hazrat International Airport on Sunday afternoon.
The arrested passenger was identified as Asaduzzaman Mirza, 45, hailing from Pirojpur district.Sources at the airport said Asaduzzaman came to the airport from Korachi via Bangkok by an aircraft of Thai airways at noon.
When he went to Canopy-2 after crossing green channel, the AAP members challenged him at around 2:30 pm, said Senior ASP Alamgir Hossain of AAP.
Searching his luggage, the law enforcers recovered the Indian currency of around 1.04 crore Rupee, Senior ASP Alamgir added. – News Desk
