IBBL 32nd AGM announces 15 pc cash dividend

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited approved 15% cash dividend for the shareholders for the year 2014.
The dividend was approved in the 32nd Annual General Meeting of the Bank held on June 13 Saturday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Dhaka.
Engr. Mustafa Anwar, chairman (acting) of the bank, presided over the meeting while Yousif Abdullah Al-Rajhi of KSA, Vice Chairman, Dr. Abdul Hameed Fouad Al-Khateeb, representative of Arabsas Travel & Tourist Agency, KSA, Dr. Areef Suleman, representative of Islamic Development Bank, Nasser Ahmad Al Khudhar, Representative of Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation, Kuwait and AHG Mohiuddin, representative of Al-Rajhi Company for Industry & Trade, directors of the bank addressed the programme.
The AGM reelected Engr Mustafa Anwar, director and elected AHG Mohiuddin the representative of the Al-Rajee Company of Industry and Trade.
In his address as the chairman Engr Mustafa Anwar said that the people’s confidence in IBBL has increased further as it has been working for the welfare of the economy and improvement of the quality of life of the people. He said that the base of IBBL was getting stronger due to this.
Urging the officials of the Bank to reach services of the bank to people of all sections irrespective of differences of politics, race, religion or colour he said. Engr Mustgafa Anwar thanked the government, the Bangladesh Bank, other banks and financial institutions and above all the clients for their cooperation to make the operations of IBBL successful.
Vice President Yuseef Abdullah Al-Rajee said IBBL was run as a professional banking institution on the basis of the trend of Islam.
Islamic Development Bank representative Dr. Areef Suleman said that IBBL was being used as a reference bank in Islamic financing in Bangladesh as well as the rest of the World. – Press release
