Dhaka – Comilla District clinched the BBS Cables IGP Cup National Youth (Under-21) Kabaddi Championship beating Nilphamari
District by 37-23 points with one lona in the final at Kabaddi Stadium here on Saturday. Rajshahi District finished 3rd beating Satkhira District in a place deciding match at the same venue. The champions Comilla awarded with a prize money of Tk 1 lakh,
runners-up Nilphamari received Tk 50,000 while the 3rd place holder Rajshahi got Tk 30,000 as prize money.
Samrat of Comilla was adjudged the best player of the final while Basu Dev Roy of Nilphamari named as the best player of the tournament to receive Tk 10,000 as prize money.State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder was the chief guest in the day’s final and later he distributed the prizes.Inspector General of Police and President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation AKM Shahidul Haque was also present as special guest.Eight teams — six divisional champions alongside two top teams from Dhaka division split into two groups – initially took part in league-basis matches Participating teams are Group A – Comilla, Sylhet, Dhaka and
