Investigation report of Jolly Murder Case yet to be published


Rajshahi-Investigation report on Rajshahi University teacher Jolly Murder Case has not been published.Contacted, Assistant Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Ikramul Haque said, we are dealing the case with cordiality. Interrogation is also being continued and every suspect of this connection including the ex-husband of Jolly and also Teacher of the university of Mass Communication and Journalism department Tanveer Ahmed has been brought to the interrogation. The investigation report of this case will be published soon.
On the other hand, Arfan Sowat, son of the killed teacher Akhter Jahan Jolly and his ex-Husband Tanveer Ahmed has confessed that his father attempted to kill him with a knife. Through a Facebook status he expressed In and out of the controversial issue over a “Knife” that Jolly mentioned in her suicide note.
He wrote on the status that most of the time his father made a restriction between the relation of Mother and son. As the reason his mother was mentally tortured.
Earlier, Tanveer Ahmed was released temporarily from all kind of academic activities of the department as he appealed to the departmental academic committee.
Remembering deceased teacher Jolly department took several programs as holding mourning rally-meeting on September 25 and wearing back badges for three days on September 23-25.
The MCJ department has taken a decision on an academic meeting to name the departmental seminar library in the name of Prof. Jolly and establish a chhattar in the name of “Akter Jahan Corner” in front of department premises.
Earliar, a committee has been formed to monitoring the suicide provoke case.
Department head Prof. Pradip Kumar Panday made convener the committee while others departmental teachers Prof. Sathil Siraj, Kazi Mamun Haider and Abdullah-Hil-Baki were made as members.
Contacted, Professor Dr. Pradip Kumar Panday, Chairman of the department said we are expecting a fair judgement of te case. And we are keeping connection with the administration over the case.
Noted, Akhter Jahan Jolly had commit to suicide on September 09 afternoon
