Jessore man making world’s biggest rashogollas


Dhaka, – A local sweetmaker is selling some of the world’s biggest roshogollas, each weighing at an astounding 2.5 kilograms, claimed a You Tube clipping, UNB news agency has reported.Abu Zafor Biswas, the owner of Zafor hotel and restaurant, located at the Paira Bazar area under the district’s Abhaynagar upazila, said: “At least two litres of milk, one kilo sugar and 20kg milk curd (chhana) goes into making one of these gigantic pieces of beauty and the sweets are being sold at Tk500 each.
In a You Tube clipping released by BengaliFood64 on Sunday, Zafor said: “We are making some other types of sweets which are smaller in size and are being sold at Tk100 to 200.”
Claiming that People from all over the country come to his dessert shop only to buy the large sized roshogollas, he said: “I can challenge that these sweets will not be found anywhere else in the globe.”
A lot of preparation and care goes into making them, he added, which is why the prices are a bit steep.
