Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, categorically said opposition BNP leader Khaleda Zia is playing with snake basket on her head.
The premier came up with the allegation while inaugurating the council of Dhaka City Awami League in city’s Suhrawardy Udyan on Thursday afternoon.
Sheikh Hasina said, “Khaleda didn’t try the killers of her husband although she assumed power twice, rather now staging movements to protect war criminals.”
Terming BNP corrupt, she added, “The people say that BNP has two virtues; one is corruption, another is killing.”
The AL president again said, “Awami League is working for the betterment of people and development of the country. We want to make a golden Bangladesh by 2021.”
The inaugural programme of the council was attended, among others, by AL presidium member Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Sahara Khatun and Syed Ashraful Islam MP.
