BNP chairperons Khaleda Zia is returning home today after over two months stay in British capital London for treatment.She is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal Intenraitonal Airport at 5:00pm by an Emirates flight.
BNP leaders and activists have taken preparation to receive the former premier in a big welcome at the airport.
Meanwhile, BNP spokeperon Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon in a statement yesterday expressed his concern over what he said in the back drop of deteriorated law and order in the country called upon the government to step up security for Khaleda Zia.
“BNP is concenred over the security of former premier Khaleda Zia in the back drop of deteriorated law and order in the country. We call upon the government to step up her security as her security has been inadequate,” he said.
In another statement, Ripon asked the leaders and activists of BNP and its front organizations of all levels to be present at the airport on time maintaining the decipline.
Sources said central and city leaders have been asked to reach the airport along with party activists before 5:00pm.
Meanwhile, Khaleda’s Gulshan office is undergoing spruced up in preparation for her arrival and working there.
Sources said Khaleda is likely to attend her office from Novemeber 25.
