Man hurt in accident at DMCH gate dies

Dhaka – A man who was injured in an accident as an ambulance ploughed through a crowd in front of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on October 15, dies at the hospital early Friday, raising the death toll from the incident to six.Bacchu Mia, sub-inspector of DMCH police camp, said Ramjan Ali, 30, a rickshaw puller and a resident of Rayerbagh in the city, succumbed to
his injures around 2 am.Ramjan came to the hospital with his wife for treatment on that day and received injures in the accident,UNB News Agency Reported.
Earlier, four people and a baby in its mother’s womb were killed and five others including Ramjan injured as an ambulance ploughed through a crowd in front of the DMCH on October 15.Three of the deceased were identified as Gulenur Begum, 25, wife of Feroz Miah, her son Shakib, 7, a class two student, hailing from Chhoto Baizda village in Rangabali upazila of Patuakhali district,and Amena Begum Surjya, 30, a six-month expecting mother and wife of Zakir Hossain of Havaspur village in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore
district while the identity of another man aged about 60 could not be known yet.
