BNP standing committee member MK Anwar yesterday claimed that it is Awami League (AL) which is involved in seven murders in Narayanganj not BNP.
“Awami League, Juba League and Chhatra league people are involved in Narayanganj incident and no people was involved in it. Arrest them if any BNP men are found involved in killing, forced disappearance and abduction,” he said while addressing a seminar at the National Press Club.He made this comment following a government minister’s that BNP people were involved in Naryanganj seven killing.
The seminar organized by Swadhinata Forum was held with its president Abu Naseer Mohammad Rahmatullah in the chair.
MK Anwar said the country is now turned into a valley of death. He held a former chief justice along with government responsible for the incidents.
The former chief justice had distorted the constitution and deprived the people from their fundamental and votting rights through the 15th amendment to the constitution, he added.
The BNP leader said the judiciary cannot work independently and administration cannot work due to frequent OSD
He alleged that the Anti-Corruption Commission is giving certificate to those the governemetn wants to see free from corruption,
The BNP leader asked what he said the illegal government to quit power immditely otherwise, he warned the government has to face severe consequence.
Former chief election commissioner Justice Abdur Rouf, Prof Dr Mahbub Ullah, Juba Dal president Syed Moazzem Hossain lal and Jasim Uddin, among others, addressed, the function. – Staff Reporter
