Momtaz Hussain of ‘Shokal Shondha’ is no more .Her family recently informed that her Janaza was held on Friday in Uttara’s sector 6 Jaam’e mosque, then later buried at Banani graveyard.
Bagladesh’s popular author and writer of 80’s famous BTV drama series “Shokal Shondha” and “Shuktara,” Mumtaz Hussain, 77, died on Thursday at Uttara’s Crescent Hospital in Dhaka.Her family recently informed that her Janaza was held on Friday in Uttara’s sector 6 Jaam’e mosque, then later buried at Banani graveyard.
In memory of the belated writer, BTV’s former senior official Kha Ma Harun took to Facebook and wrote how she was a guardian to him and that she is no more. He also said that he came to know her by working with her in “Shokal Shondha” and “Shuktara.”
He further added that Mumtaz was the sister of filmmaker Alamgir Kabir and mother of painter and filmmaker Khalid Mahmud Mithu, and it has been difficult for them to accept her demise.
He concluded his post by saying: “May she rest in peace.”
