Movement to restore democracy after party overhauling: Bnp


BNP is taking preparation to launch movement anew taking people with it to restore democracy in the country.
“We will launch a fresh movement by staging a big showdown after completion of reorganisation of the party,” said BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan while talking to reporters after placing wreath at the mazar of late President Ziaur Rahman.
He along with leaders of Muktijoddha Dal, a front organization of the BNP, placed wreath at the mazar to mark the founding anniversary of the organisaiton.Khan alleged that the government does not allow them to organise rallies and it also obstructs the reorganization activities of the party.
“Our leaders and activists are poured in prisons by implicating them in false cases and the government is still filing newer but false and fabricated cases. The government turned the entire country into a prison,” he said.
The BNP leader accused the government of its failure to control the price of essential commodities saying that there is no monitoring system to control the market.
“They are busy in plundering. The government has no accountability for public sufferings as they are not elected by the people,” he said.
Khan said the countrymen know it well the role of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal in killing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“Now, the Awami League ins in power, they can demand for trial of JSD and its leaders for the killing,” he observed.
Kallayan Party chief Maj Gen (Retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, Istiaque Aziz Ulfat, president of Muktijoddah Dal and Sadeq Khan, joint general secretary, among others, were present on the occasion. – Staff Reporter
