National Professor MR Khan dies at 88

Dhaka: National Professor Dr MR Khan passed away at a city hospital on Saturday. He was 88.
Dr Khan, who had been undergoing treatment at Central Hospital for various old-age complications, including respiratory problem, for over six months, breathed his last around 4:25 pm, assistant director of the hospital Dr Farid Uddin Faruki told UNB. UNB News Agency Reported.
The renowned child specialist left behind one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Born on August 1, 1928 in Rasulpur of Satkhira district, Dr Khan was graduated (MBBS) from Calcutta Medical College in 1952.
The first namaj-e-janaza of MR Khan, also the founding chairman of the Central Hospital, will be held on the premises of the hospital at 10:30 am on Sunday, said Faruki.
