Nidahas Trophy: India invite Tigers to bat first in final

Dhaka – The Tigers were invited to bat first as India won the toss of the final in the seven-match Nidahas Trophy tri-nation T20I tournament at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan-led Tigers are taking the ground aiming to the maiden victory against India in any T20I as well as to clinch the maiden trophy in any tri-nation tournament. The final clash has become the tightest contest as Rohit Sharma-led India registered three wins — two against Bangladesh — of their four matches in the league stage to move into the final as favourites. But, Bangladesh’s tenacity of surviving in the final race with two victories, including a record chase win of 215, against hosts Sri Lanka is a great threat for giant India.Bangladesh fielded the same best eleven that played in the last game against Sri Lanka while India brought one change as Jaydev Unadkat came in for the final game replacing Mohammed Siraj.Bangladesh best XI: Tamim Iqbal, Liton Kumar Das, Sabbir Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Mahmudullah Riyad, Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain and Nazmul Islam.India Best XI: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Lokesh Rahul, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jaydev Unadkat.
