One held with 350 bottles of phensidyl in C’nawanganj


Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 arrested an alleged drug trader with 350 bottles of contraband Indian phensidyl syrup from Uparchakpara village in Shibganj upazila on Friday.The arrested was identified as Md. Selim Reza, 26, son of Md. Zillur Rahman of the village.

Acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB Chapainawabganj camp raided the house of one Anwarul Islam of the Uparchakpara village and found the phensidyl syrups in four plastic bags under his bed. The elite force also arrested Selim Reza from the house, RAB sources said.
Later, he was handed over to Shibganj police. A case was recorded with Shibganj thana in this connection. -BSS, Chapainawabganj
